At IKEA, a warehouse job is so much more than moving products from A to B. It’s your chance to make a positive impact, grow your skills, and help create a better everyday life for the many. In this role, you’ll help lead daily fulfillment operations by assigning tasks, guiding co‑workers, and ensuring high‑quality, cost‑efficient performance with the customer at the center. You’ll champion a safe, sustainable, and healthy work environment—every day.

What you'll be doing day to day

As a Fulfillment Operations Team Leader, you will secure high goods availability, operational readiness, and an efficient, safe in‑store logistics process that supports a seamless customer experience. You will lead, develop, and empower a diverse team of Fulfillment Operations Co‑workers to deliver the highest quality at the lowest possible cost in a sustainable, safe, and healthy environment.

    • Lead, coach, recruit, retain, and develop Fulfillment Operations Co‑workers to build a confident, high‑performing, and future‑ready team.
    • Ensure all co‑workers understand, are trained in, and are empowered to execute fulfillment and goods flow routines that secure strong product availability and accurate stock management.
    • Create an inclusive, motivating culture that supports learning, development, and succession planning.
    • Secure daily fulfillment operations by supporting goal setting, shift planning, workload balancing, equipment coordination, and resource prioritization.
    • Ensure a balanced inbound and outbound volume flow by optimizing space, equipment, and staffing to maximize efficiency.
    • Maintain high standards for product handling, merchandising, stock accuracy, and damage prevention.
    • Contribute to and follow up on the retail store logistics action plan to ensure alignment with unit goals and business priorities.
    • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment while promoting safe goods‑handling practices and a strong safety mindset.
    • Ensure co‑workers follow IKEA’s Code of Conduct, internal regulations, and all local health, safety, security, and environmental laws.
    • Support the Customer Fulfillment Sustainability agenda by enabling efficient and environmentally responsible operations that support long‑term profitability.
