    IKEA is set to open as part of our innovative new format Small Stores, designed to enhance our omnichannel approach and provide a seamless experience for our customers. This new format brings fresh opportunities, requiring innovative thinking, adaptable solutions, and a dynamic approach, creating an exciting environment for our people to grow and thrive.

    This store will open in Coimbra and we are looking for co‑workers for our IKEA Food area. You may also support other areas of the store, always with a strong focus on providing the best experience for our customers.
    Join our team at the new Coimbra store and you will be passionate about our products and motivated to share inspiring home furnishings solutions with the many people. Whether you're ensuring smooth service, sharing Swedish delicacies or maintaining the great customer experience throughout the store, you'll play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and a positive shopping experience. If you love working in a fast-paced environment and making people smile this is the perfect role for you!

    Thus, we are looking for someone with the following characteristics:
    • You enjoy working in food service and have a straightforward approach and committed to being part of the team but also can manage your own tasks efficiently.
    • A customer first mindset and enjoy the versatility of working in a different area each day, making the customer feel valued and supported in everything you do.
    • Able to prioritise and organise your own work to make efficient use of the time available with thorough attention to detail.
    • Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced team environment.
    • Ability to remain organised and detail-orientated, even when things get busy.

    A day in your life with us

    On a daily basis:
    • Providing a memorable shopping experience for our customers working across various departments, supporting store guests to find the most suitable solutions for their life at home.
    • Support maximising sales by ensuring your areas of responsibility are clean, fully stocked, all products priced, well presented and easy to shop. Some products may involve heavy lifting.
    • You will use the IKEA vision of a better everyday life at home and prioritise the customer by interacting with them and promoting products to align with their needs.
    • Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure environment for both our customers and co-workers.
    • Support your colleagues, lend a hand, and create a positive work environment, contributing to a proud team.
