We are excited to announce the launch of our new store in Chandigarh, an important step in our journey to create a better everyday life for many people.
Following the successful openings of our two stores in Delhi, this new location strengthens our presence in Northern India and brings IKEA closer to customers in one of the country's most dynamic and culturally rich cities.
As we prepare to open our doors in Chandigarh, we are looking for passionate co-workers who share our values, are inspired by home furnishing, and are committed to creating meaningful experiences for our customers. Together, we will make IKEA more accessible, deliver a seamless omnichannel experience, and continue building long-term relationships with the many people in and around Chandigarh.

    Who you are:
    • You are passionate about creating a great customer experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
    • You have a strong interest in home furnishing and understand customers’ everyday life needs.
    • You are curious, proactive, and confident in approaching and communicating with people.
    • You enjoy working in a team and collaborating across functions.
    • You are eager to learn and continuously develop your skills.
    • You have good digital awareness and are comfortable using systems and tools.
    • You are organized, able to prioritize tasks, and make efficient use of your time.
    • You bring a customer-first mindset and are business-minded and result-driven.
    • You have at least 1 year of relevant experience in retail, sales, customer service, or a similar field.
    • You can communicate clearly and politely in both written and spoken language.

    Your responsibilities

    • Deliver a great customer experience by actively engaging with customers throughout their shopping journey.
    • Act as an ambassador of the brand by sharing knowledge about products and services with customers and colleagues.
    • Support customers across different touchpoints, ensuring a seamless omnichannel experience.
    • Maintain strong knowledge of the product range and contribute to offering complete and sustainable home furnishing solutions.
    • Ensure the store is well-presented, fully stocked, and range presentation is up to date.
    • Contribute to high product availability by supporting fulfilment processes, stock accuracy, and timely deliveries.
    • Use systems and tools effectively to support efficient goods flow and operations.
    • Work across different functions (Sales, Customer Relations, Food, or Logistics) based on business needs.
    • Follow store routines and working methods to maximize efficiency at the customer meeting point.
    • Ensure a safe and secure environment for customers and co-workers by adhering to health, safety, and compliance standards.

    Together as a team

We are the ones meeting our customers – in our stores, online, in our catalogue and beyond. We have knowledge of the IKEA product range, local markets and customer needs and we constantly find new ways of making real connections with our customers to maximize sales and profitability. Together with thousands of colleagues around the world we’re a diverse team working for the continued global success of the IKEA Concept – a concept that helps millions of customers create a better everyday life!
