    • WELCOME TO THE HOME OF IKEA!

Sweden is where it all began – the heart and soul of IKEA. With over 80 years of bold ideas, hard work, and a deep love for the many people, we’re proud of our journey and excited about the future we’re building together. Being the Home of IKEA is more than a place – it’s a mindset. It is an attitude of learning, testing new things, and looking for opportunities beyond the predictable. Now, we’re looking for someone who shares that spirit to join us in a temporary position as Marketing Leader.

Our Service Office in Helsingborg supports the stores in the areas of sales, store communication & interior design, logistics, restaurant, customer experience, marketing, IT, expansion, finance & administration, risk management, PR & information, and human resources.

    WHO YOU ARE

You’re a storyteller, a challenger, and a builder. You thrive on turning bold ideas into big campaigns that reach millions, while staying true to IKEA’s vision: to create a better everyday life for the many people.

You get energy from driving results and creating work that matters — work that inspires, engages, and connects with people in ways they didn’t expect. You don’t settle for “good enough.” You’re always looking for smarter, faster, braver ways to do things. To succeed in this role we believe you have:

    • Several years of experience in marketing communications, creative, and production processes, with a strong track record of delivering campaigns that move the needle.
    • An education in marketing, communication or design
    • Strong project management skills. In this role you will not be a leader with direct reports, but you will lead projects and coordinate campaigns that involve several people internally and at our agencies.
    • Solid knowledge of home furnishing and lifestyle trends, with passion for creating better everyday living at home.
    • Strong understanding of the retail landscape and omnichannel approaches
    • Experience from being point of contact for creative agencies
    • Experience from planning photo and video productions
    • Speed, quality, and follow-through — you deliver, you measure, you learn, and you improve
    • Fluency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

This role does not require you to do graphic design, copywriting, video or photo editing yourself. If you have that type of competence, it is beneficial for the collaboration with creative agency, where those assignments sit, but your strengths should be within coordinating and managing marketing campaigns and projects.

    YOUR RESPONSIBILITY

As Marketing Leader, you will lead, brief, and execute marketing communication activities, ensuring commercial impact, brand consistency, and one clear voice in the market.

    • Contribute as a core member of the Marketing Communications and Integrated Media team, shaping plans and outputs to deliver on shared objectives.
    • Safeguard brand identity by ensuring consistency in messaging, tone of voice, and communication. You keep the red thread through every channel, every message, every moment.
    • Adapt and optimize global content locally to maximize relevance and impact.
    • Lead local campaigns end-to-end — briefing, creative review, production, budgets, timelines, agency management, and campaign follow-up.
    • Collaborate across functions to secure integration, alignment, and stronger results.
    • Represent local needs globally, ensuring they are captured and addressed.
    • Work closely with the Media leaders to plan, optimize and evaluate marketing campaigns and investments

    THE TEAM

The Marketing Leader sits in the Marketing Communications and Integrated Media Team. We plan the media buying, communication and content of all campaigns in the Swedish market. You will work closely with a Media Leader and a Marketing Specialist and collaborate on campaigns and projects with the different members of the team.

    QUESTIONS AND SUPPORT

This role is full-time, temporary position with start as soon as possible in January or beginning of February - August 2027- located at Service Office, Helsingborg, Ödåkra. We have a hybrid work setup with at least 3 days/week in the office.

The advert is open until November 22nd, but we will continuously review applications. Please submit your application in English.

Interviews will take place the 11-16th of December and might be called for with short notice.
We won't offer any relocation or mobility support for this position.
