Why we will love you

At IKEA, we believe that people are the driving force behind our business. Therefore, we are now looking for a new Leadership Trainee for our ambitious Leadership Trainee program. We are looking for someone who sees opportunities and is motivated to learn how to become a successful leader in the future. You have your feet firmly planted on the ground and are capable of challenging the existing ways of doing things. At the same time, you understand how to build relationships and create trust, and you want to help develop the people around you.

To be successful as a Leadership Trainee, we expect you to:

• Bring a lot of energy, speed, and a desire to challenge and improve yourself and the team.
• Have a constant willingness to learn and develop and not be afraid of mistakes and setbacks along the way.
• Have a passion for leadership and developing people.
• Be flexible and able to prioritize the various tasks that arise daily/weekly.
• Be adaptable and see opportunities rather than limitations.
• Naturally take initiative and achieve results that benefit both the business and people.
• Communicate clearly and can write and speak professional English and Danish.
• Have an interest in home furnishing and retail – it is also an advantage if you have experience from the retail industry or a large organization.

You must be able to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where each day brings new challenges, and you have the ability to adapt and find solutions even when things don't go as planned. You work effectively with a wide range of people and are not afraid to share your ideas and perspectives.

A day in your life with us

Through your Leadership Trainee program, you will be assigned to a specific function, and for this position, it is our Customer Relations department.
Together with a competent leader, you will have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills and learn to give and take responsibility. At IKEA, we have a practical approach to learning, which is why most of your training takes place "on the floor" with your colleagues in operations. Here, you will be involved in your leader's daily work, and in combination with a series of training modules, you will gain insights and the skills to lead and manage a million-dollar business with 100 employees.

During your training, you will learn about:

• Your leadership style, leading yourself and others, and IKEA's leadership philosophy
• Coaching, development conversations, and difficult conversations
• Theoretical and practical experience with the retail industry and various business approaches
• Recruitment, budgeting, and staffing planning
• The Leadership Trainee program lasts approximately 18 months – you can read more here: www.ikea.dk/leder

Our team within IKEA

You will be part of the leader team for a group of both full-time and part-time employees. As part of the CR management team, you will be a key player in the operation of our entire Customer Relations department, with 100 dedicated employees.
You will be closely involved in everything related to customer experiences in the store, where you will need to collaborate with other departments.
We have a great team spirit, where we support each other and work together, with a strong focus on sales and service to ensure the best customer experiences.

We will, of course, provide the right training so you can feel confident and competent in the job. At IKEA, you have endless opportunities to develop yourself, and we expect you to constantly seek to improve in your job and seek more knowledge and inspiration across both stores and functions within IKEA.
