    What you'll be doing day to day
    Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to unleash your passion for Open Source? Join OSPO where we support teams with their Open Source and InnerSource needs.

    You will have the opportunity to learn about Ingka while developing your skills as an Open and InnerSource expert. The ideal candidate will be passionate about driving innovation, eager to learn and adapt, comfortable working independently and cross-functionally, and committed to upholding the IKEA culture and values.

    Your role will involve:

    • Application development for enhancing the existing platform to facilitate InnerSource. The required skills are hands-on programming knowledge, preferably in TypeScript, React and Node.js.
    • Developing expertise in Open Source software analysis, security and AI-powered Open Source adoption. This role involves hands-on automation using Python/Go, (or your preferred languages), strategic research, and Open Source risk assessments.

    Please read the following before applying:

    Send your CV and motivational letter in English by April 21st at the latest. We will run the process of matching interns and areas continuously, so please apply as soon as possible.

    We only accept students who live within commuting distance to the office in Malmö during the time of the internship, and who are connected to a university within the country. To participate in this internship, you must be enrolled in a relevant university program or educational course. Full-time is favoured, but a minimum of 50% per week is acceptable. No exceptions will be made.

    This is an unpaid internship intended to complement academic studies. However, we offer a valuable learning experience, close mentorship, and the opportunity to grow within a supportive and dynamic team.

    Duration: Fall 2025. Start date: September 1st 2025.
