IKEA Belfast are looking to welcome a Warehouse Assistant to join our hard-working fulfilment team.

WHAT WE OFFER

• Start Date of employment will be: 8th February 2025
• Interview will be conducted between the 16th and 28th of January.
• Competitive hourly rate of £12.60 per hour.
• Various contracts 16-39 hours per week, we have a variety of working patterns available including, Early Morning shifts working hours between 2am and 11am, dayshifts working hours between 6am and 9pm.
• We can discuss flexibility to match your life and our business needs during the interview.

• Health and safety guidelines necessitate that those working between the hours of 10pm and 6am must be over 18 years of age.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

• Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential, all you will need is the motivation to make things happen in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to prioritise and organise your workload swiftly and with attention to detail.
• Proven experience in utilising technical equipment to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Ensure you are prepared to initiate tasks on your own initiative and to participate actively in group efforts.
• For those interested in the 39 hour contracts a Fork Lift Truck License is beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided.


WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

• Effectively perform the role in the assigned area of responsibility, which includes, manual handling of heavy stock, receiving and replenishing goods with accuracy, picking, packing and handing out collection orders to customers and keeping accurate records of stock levels.
• Working with or around heavy machinery, such as, Forklift trucks, counterbalance, pump trucks, to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the warehouse.
• Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure environment for both our customers and co-workers.
• You will be required to manually handle all of our products ranging from LACK Coffee Tables to PAX Wardrobes.
