What you'll be doing day to day

We are looking for someone who will lead the adaptation to 100% zero-emission for home deliveries for IKEA Netherlands.

The number of delivery vehicles in the top 100 cities globally is expected to increase by 36% by 2030. Emissions from delivery traffic will increase by 32% and congestion will rise by over 21%. We do not want to be part of this.

IKEA will play an active part in creating healthy, sustainable, and well-functioning cities – and we will do so by offering 100% zero-emission delivery services and advocating for others to follow our lead.

Your Main assignments will be:
- Lead and coordinate country Zero Emission delivery implementation to reach our immediate country goal of 80% in FY25 and long-term Ingka commitment to halving emissions from the IKEA value chain by FY 2030 on our way towards net zero by FY 2050.
- Work with Core Services stakeholders to help develop optimal zero emissions services to meet IKEAs many customers
- Facilitate zero emission services development between Core Services and Transport Service Providers
- Anchor zero emissions throughout running business activities
- Secure connection with internal processes and Global project team (Budget, Investment requests, Reporting & Follow up)
- Identify, evaluate, and choose the best business models for EV implementation
- Lead and coordinate country Zero Emission for all service providers executing assembly and installation services for IKEA
- Support charging infrastructure implementation were needed for the IKEA units in the Netherlands
- Together with our legal department, secure the legal frames reflect the transition to zero emissions and update where necessary

Customer Fulfilment (CFF) plays a fundamental role within Retail in achieving the IKEA goal of becoming an omni channel retailer. Customer Fulfilment acts as a fully integrated function, with an end-to-end approach to develop our business, having customers’ needs at heart. We are focusing on contributing to a seamless shopping experience for the many people with great quality across all touchpoints.



For this role, you have proven experience as Project Manager, preferably in the area of Sustainability and/or Supply chain and Logistics, focusing on last-mile delivery networks. You possess proven experience for successful leadership in delivering business results through creating business cases and securing the budget frame. We also believe that you as a person should have a good collaborative mindset in building relationships across the organization and having influence and personal impact by using good communication.

You know the following areas:
- Project Management
- Business Navigation
- Change management and leading in the unknown/exploring

- Risk and gap assemsments
- Stakeholder management: knowledge of how to identify and involve relevant stakeholders in a project, process, or question to make things happen
- Experienced in government funding and subsidy requirements and applications will be a good strength
