Job description
You are a strategic member of the store management team, developing a functional business plan to support delivery of a fantastic customer experience and support store’s sustainable growth, to supports the store’s positioning as a company that cares for People and the Planet and is a Good Neighbour and to project the IKEA store as a Great Place to Work through Employer branding activities.
To support the store and SO team with analysis and intimate knowledge of people’s life at home and local market conditions to identify growth, positioning and segmentation strategies.
To create the store’s annual marketing plan and strategies (including corporate and internal communication).
To recruit, activate and retain IKEA Family and Småles’ members through an intimate understanding of the market.
To support catalogue distribution, execution of store PR events, media launches, media interviews and other media engagement to communicate our total offer both online and offline.
To deliver local communication support during operational or reputational crisis situations, working with matrix, SO Corporate Communication, Marketing, Risk and management team to deliver aligned internal
communication.
To oversee internal communication channels (digital signage, Yammer, notice boards, newsletter etc.) to ensure a steady flow of communication and secure open atmosphere, keeping co-workers well informed,
engaged and connected to store priorities and management. To ensure that the information regarding the store in the IRW and local store page are up to date, by working closely with the E-commerce team to secure the implementation of the updates.
Qualification
More than 5 years of relevant working experience in a management and/or the strategic communication, media and marketing field, retail preferred
Understanding of the local market and capacity to create bonds with the communicate
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to create and present communications insights which are clear, focused and easily usable
Experience in retails and customer centric business
Proven experiences of working with(in) creative, media or PR agencies experience of taking decisions on local marketing information
