IKEA Purchasing Services (Czech Republic) spol. s r. o. is a purchasing organization which cooperates with furniture and home furnishing manufacturers located in Europe on producing furniture with perfect design and quality for many people, and which ensures distribution into retail stores IKEA worldwide. We are a team of about 150 co-workers of over 20 nationalities.

Job description
Your responsibility as Production Engineer Compliance will be to lead and secure the quality compliance as a very important pre-condition of business development for all suppliers responsible by the business-teams located in Prague. Empower the suppliers to perform to the best of their abilities and continuously develop in their performance and competence.
As part of the business team and reporting to Business Development Manager Assembly & Accessories, you will actively contribute to the implementation of Category business plan.

As Production Engineer Compliance your main assignments will be:
- Secure specifications, product requirements, compliance to product requirements
- Secure training and implementation of new and updated requirements with suppliers
- Secure MSS paper-based packaging registration
- Lead to manage compliance deviations including receiving, investigation, agreement on causing party, root cause analysis and planning the containment and corrective and preventive actions
- Support Production Engineer in GO/NOGO preparation, audit, and follow-up action.
Qualification
• A background in engineering, quality and product/production development
• With knowledge and experience in the field of the product requirements, standards and test methods, you have a strong capability to drive the compliance performance and deliver excellent results.
• Good knowledge IKEA documentation system (e.g. PDOC and CONNECT)
• Understanding of relevant Category Plans and Total Cos
• Genuinely interested in understanding the reality of production and continuous improvements
• Result oriented, high energy and self-driven way of working to deliver better products for the many people by working together with suppliers and in IKEA
• Sense of urgency and a never compromise attitude towards quality compliance
• Eager to actively search for information and continuously learn from good examples and mistakes
• Interest and drive to build trust and partnership to reach common goals
• Process oriented with good analytical skills and a structured approach
• Capability to build trust and relationships, for long-term business partnership by act in reality
• Engage and motivate people by sharing experiences and coaching others
