  • IKEA Wembley are looking to welcome a Store Assistant within our Sales Department, based in our Kitchens team.

    You'll primarily support our Kitchens Sales team, helping customers bring their home furnishing ideas to life through inspiring solutions, product knowledge and excellent service. As top-performing kitchen department—the biggest seller of kitchens in the region, we are looking for candidates that are motivated in a busy environment. This is a multiskilled role that offers variety and the opportunity to work across different functions and departments throughout the store.


    WHAT WE OFFER

    • The Start Date of employment will be 2nd November 2026.
    • Competitive hourly rate of £14.80 per hour.
    • 34 Hours working 5 days per week including day shift, evenings and three in four weekends.

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

    • A genuine passion for home furnishing and design.
    • You are skilled at forward planning, can handle several tasks at once with ease, and take pleasure in being a team member as well as fulfilling responsibilities on your own.
    • You have a customer first mindset, where you make the customer feel valued and supported in everything you do.
    • You take initiative, make well-informed choices, and actively engage with your daily tasks.
    • You prioritise and organise your own work to make efficient use of the time available with great attention to detail.
    • Efficient, results-driven, and highly organised.
    • Proficiency with IT equipment.


    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

    • You provide an inspirational shopping experience for our customers by actively approaching them to identify their needs and advising them on the best solutions for their life at home.
    • You are always enthusiastic about the range, curious to learn the stories behind the products and their design
    • You support maximising sales by ensuring your area of responsibility is clean, fully stocked, all products priced, well presented and easy to shop. Some products may involve heavy lifting.
    • Work confidently with KPIs, using them to track performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
