    Academic degree in engineering or equivalent
    Relevant experience in a multi-site, international, large and complex organization, preferably in high-volume retail or commercial real estate
    10 years+ of experience leading pre-construction design and MEP systems in large and complex buildings.
    Fluent in Spanish and English

    What you'll be doing day to day

    • Strong understanding of pre-construction design processes.
    • Knowledge of construction engineering, technical design principles, and building systems.
    • Familiarity with facility and property requirements, ensuring design supports long-term operational excellence in a large-scale retail real estate environment.
    • Solid awareness of local regulations, safety standards, and sustainable design practices.
    • Ability to integrate and boil down Ingka’s standards, guidelines, and technical frameworks into innovative, adapted design for each project.

    Building strong relationships with Construction Project Managers, external partners, and internal stakeholders.
    Collaborating and co‑creating to shape design solutions that balance functionality, cost, safety, and sustainability.
    Creating customer value by ensuring our buildings are designed for the many people and deliver outstanding experiences.
    Inspiring and clarifying, helping others understand proposed design solutions and their benefits.
    Unleashing entrepreneurial spirit by proposing innovative, efficient, and future‑proof design ideas.
