Job description

About the job:

· Be a strong contributor to the store team and the marketing team in particular

 · Be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of all marketing campaigns and events.

· Coordinate with agencies to facilitate the scheduling and trafficking of workflow in and out of the marketing department for all campaigns, events and PR activities.

· Support the Country Marketing Manager in evaluating and reporting competitor activities.

  · IKEA website and other online local maintenance and coordination with the Service Office Web Specialist

· Implement and maintain IKEA Family local activities in coordination with Service Office Specialist


 Coordination with the Agency

· Supporting the country Marketing Manager on the day to day coordination with the agencies and the rest of the commercial team

· Day to day management of the third parties quotations and invoices

· Support the country Marketing Manager for the smooth-running of the media production process, with particular responsibility for the accurate setting of copy, design and artwork.

· Supporting in copywriting and/or proofreading of all marketing communications. 

 · Ensure that campaign related service level agreements with third party firms are executed as per assigned budget and plans.


· Ensure the implementation of the local adaptations to IKEA website in coordination with Web Specialist in Service office and the country Marketing Manager

 · Daily maintenance of Social Media and communication with fans at a local level in coordination with Service office digital specialist


 · Updating results and producing weekly competitor media review through agency

· Monitor competitor activities and report on it every month to management in coordination with country marketing manager.


 · Work with country marketing manager to plan and execute campaign calendar.

 · Implement multiple campaigns and events across diverse channels to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget

· Coordinate with the country Marketing Manager the day-to-day delivery of all marketing campaigns and events.

Other Tasks

 · Assist in translation, copywriting and/or proofreading of all marketing

 · Carry out any work entrusted by the line managers.

 · Contributes to the development and implementation of the Departmental Action Plan

  · Actively stays informed about Store and department priorities and other relevant information 

· Communicating with Store Operations to ensure correct implementation of activities. 



Master degree in Marketing preferable or equivalent 3 years of marketing experience, preferably in retail. Willing to work long hours and night shifts if required to meet deadlines. Ability to work under pressure. Being able and willing to travel when required. Photoshop, Illustrator and In-Design is a plus.

· Strong communication, Visual and interpersonal skills

· Experience  in a company with strong communication demands from both management and employees

· Must have worked within or with different agencies (media, creative)

· Agency experience is a plus

External Communication Experience: 

· Experience working with the execution of a substantial publication (strategy, brief, production and distribution, follow-up)

 · Advertising:

 · Experience in the development of a campaign (strategy, brief, layout, planning, and follow-up)

· Must have worked with media planning by using different kinds of media (television, print, radio and billboards)

 · Must have good writing skills, be open-minded and communicative

Communication Skills: 

· Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

· Must be able to share knowledge and learning. 

 · Must have highly developed networking skills.

 · Must be able to speak, read and write English, French and Arabic.
