    We are looking for a purpose-lead Market Sustainability Leader for the Business Navigation/ Sustainability team in Capital Market Area. You will be a key player in delivering our purpose of balancing economic growth and positive social impact with environmental protection and regeneration.


    To be successful in this role, you have:

    • Advanced knowledge in how to lead and drive a business agenda in retail with cross-functional relations and interdependencies
    • Good knowledge of how to balance and merge environmental, social, and economical aspects into the business with the purpose to generate growth within the limits of the planet
    • Strong collaboration skills, you seek collaboration cross-functionally to reach the highest possible impact and build strong and trustful relationships on different levels inside and outside IKEA. 
    • A proven track record of interdependent leadership skills – you can communicate a broad understanding of strategic goals and objectives and act and collaborate across the business to achieve results through others.
    • Fluency in Finnish and English both written and spoken

    Your responsibilities
    You lead consistent and effective execution of People & Planet Positive strategy on the market in partnership and collaboration with functions in the unit and on the country level.
    You will be a change driver, sustainability ambassador and secure that sustainability is always considered when decisions are made.


    More specifically, you will:

    • Collaborate and align with internal and external stakeholders to secure sustainability integration across all market functions. Ensure that sustainability contributions are delivered according to the agreed frameworks and strategies with partners.
    • Secure local adaption of the global and country directions and ambitions, to deliver to the total business agenda and a more People and Planet Positive IKEA
    • Explore and follow-up on sustainability situation in local PMA and contribute to the unit’s business agenda, provide feedback and share across sustainability matrix.  
    • As a subject-matter expert, be an internal spokesperson for sustainability related topics  
    • Enable and follow-up sustainability performance and progress based on the Unit business plan, Group tools and methods.

    The working locations will be both IKEA Espoo and IKEA Vantaa stores.
