About you
You have 5+ years’ experience in an accounting or finance related field (financial reporting, financial controlling and/or financial audit) preferably in a multinational and multicultural organization. You communicate confidently in English (both spoken and written) and have a Bachelor’s or master's degree in accounting, Economics or other finance related field and strong knowledge of SAP. A CPA/RA or comparable degree and Dutch Gaap knowledge, are highly recommended.

Your responsibilities
About the job
Group Accounting, Reporting and Internal Control (GARIC) is a team (currently 15 members) of enthusiastic dedicated professionals, part of Group Financial Controlling. In GARIC we are providing support to the three core businesses IKEA Retail, Ingka Centres and Ingka Investments by leading, steering and supporting an overall Ingka financial legal and operational reporting that is beneficial to people planet, projects and adds value to our assets, securing profitable growth and financial independence. We provide Accounting Reporting services, we develop and implement the accounting framework to enable reporting for operational reporting, we support a comprehensive compliance framework and we support designing and implementing effective financial internal controls, and effective governance to enable entrepreneurship and safeguard our people, customers and businesses.
The Group Reporting team, a team (currently 5 members) of enthusiastic dedicated professionals, is part of GARIC. The team leads the consolidated reporting process of the whole Ingka Group, secures the Accounting and Reporting Framework and supports the Group with their technical accounting and reporting knowledge.
As a Group Reporting Financial Controller, you are an Ingka ambassador. You use your knowledge and experience to work together with Finance teams all over the world. Together, we steer our businesses towards growth, optimal performance and sustained long term profitability.
More specifically, this means you will:
• Coordinate and execute the periodic consolidation of the Ingka Group. During the monthly process you communicate instructions to local finance teams, analyse reported financial information, solve problems in the process and prepare deliverables.
• Support local finance teams and other stakeholders globally on questions about financial reporting and accounting policies.
• Support business controllers by translating their information needs into concrete deliverables and thereby generating insight in business performance.
• Review financial information reported by Ingka companies and be a sparring partner for local finance teams.
• Support project teams to ensure accurate accounting and reporting of complex transactions.
• Contribute to the preparation of periodic reports for the Management Board, Audit Committee and other stakeholders
• Contribute to the SAP consolidation project.
