What you'll be doing day to day
As a Market Industrial Engineer, leading the initiative to influence and drive improvements in our Customer Fulfillment Center, you will:
Arrange all implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of labor Management System and Process within a Market Area.
Collaborate as a stakeholder in IKEA supply chain optimization initiatives.
Collaborate with all facets of warehouse operations to understand the objectives, challenges, and opportunities of each Customer Fulfillment Units.
Perform root cause analysis, utilize existing or create data analysis tools for labor management initiatives.
Develop and implement reporting and metrics to track continuous improvement initiatives across the market and Customer Fulfillment Units.
Create various concepts connected to the improvement of safety, customer experience, quality, and cost as related to process and labor.
Identify and implement continuous improvements in warehouse operations while applying lean/Kaizen and best-in-class standards and methodologies.
Implement all Labor Management System (LMS) activities to ensure knowledge transfer to direct reports in all Customer Fulfillment Units.

JOB TYPE – Permanent, Full-time, Salary
HOURS 40 hours per week // Benefits Eligible
SHIFTS – Monday-Friday with occasional travel on weekends
The salary pay range for this role is $109810 to $145, 374 to start per year
The anticipated posting closing date is 11/3/2025
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in industrial engineering preferred.
Minimum of 3 years as an industrial engineer.
Experience in material handling, automation, manufacturing, supply chain, process improvement, and/or distribution and logistics industries.
Experience with labor-management programs and developing and deploying engineered labor standards.
Preferred
Black Belt Certification and Six Sigma Green, recommended.
Experience with traditional warehouse operations and automation, such as warehouse equipment, crane machines, ASRS, and custom box makers.
5+ years experience leading, guiding, and mentoring.
2+ years experience working with external teams on large capital projects and change management.
Experience with statistical modeling and programs.
Understanding of Maynard Operations Sequence Technique (MOST) or other similar time study methods (EASE, MTM, Master Standard Data).
