Who you areAs a IKEA Trainee Manager, you will participate in a nationally driven Trainee Program. This program has been put together to prepare you for the position of Teamleader within 1 to 1.5 years and will start on 1 March 2024.
Great flexibility naturally increases the possibility of finding a suitable position.
The program consists of the following aspects:
- Introduction to the different departments of the IKEA store
- Nationally organised management and leadership training
- Learning moments with Trainee Managers from the different branches and different departments
- An individual development plan
- A challenging project linked to the department where you will be employed
- Defined evaluation moments to support you in your development
As Trainee Store Fulfilment Operations Leader, you have:
- Good business understanding: understanding of key performance measurement used to plan, follow up and steer the business with a customer-centric approach
- A very good knowledge of IKEA processes, supply chain, store and warehousing operations and service business leading to an excellent customer fulfilment
- A very good understanding of the customer and co-worker needs, demands and expectations on the markets
- Good knowledge of market/industry intelligence: applies market/industry knowledge to achieve organizational goals and objectives; understanding of KPIs used for success measures for own function; understanding of market specifics when making decisions
- Good knowledge of change management and leading in the unknown/exploring. Different leadership styles are not strange to you: You can apply them in an appropriate use for different situations
- Good knowledge of stakeholder management: knowledge of how to identify and involve relevant stakeholders in a project, process or question to make things happen
- Good financial competence: knowledge about how internal and external financials impact the business of IKEA and an understanding of how to communicate this financial impact to different target groups; applying financial knowledge to achieve organizational goals and objectives
- Collaborative mind-set: good in building relationships across the organization and having influence and personal impact by using good communication and negotiation skills
- An end-to-end orientation: ability to apply analytical process oriented thinking including planning and maintaining work process
- The ability to act within the global framework in order to achieve local/market/organization goals
- The ability to identify need and drive change within the organization acting in multicultural, interdependent and matrix environments
- A good analytical capability to enable translation of business and customer needs into development initiatives
Your responsibilities
You will be:
- Responsible for securing excellence in the planning and execution of the goods flow process working closely with the Market Store Fulfilment Operations Manager and the relevant business partners in the stores and on the market to secure the highest goods availability, enabling customer order fulfilment at all times and at the lowest possible cost.
- Responsible for inspiring goods flow matrix and provide support with the necessary tools, methods and functional competence development needs, and secure succession planning.
- Responsible for close cooperation with the Store Logistics Mangers and the Market Replenishment Leader to secure correct usage of short-, and mid-term capacity of the stores in order to maximize efficient logistics operations with the right balance in inbound and outbound volume as well as plan for future needs by considering space, equipment and people as part of the total supply chain capacity.
- Responsible for securing effective, qualitative and efficient goods flow within the stores’ receiving-, storing-, replenishment- and customer order fulfilment processes in order to guarantee customer shopping experience through quality of products, merchandising and stock accuracy.
- Responsible for sharing knowledge with colleagues and business partners to support their competence development, particularly the understanding of the principles of effective and efficient goods flow and health and safety in goods handling according to standard operating procedures.
- Responsible for promoting and stimulating entrepreneurial orientation and contribution to development and innovation in the market Store Fulfilment function and it’s connected matrixes.
