We onboard our suppliers as partners with whom we create long-term relationships. We want them to grow with us, become more efficient and achieve lower prices.
The Market Planner is the link between IKEA Components and the Buyers mainly for planning and logistics tasks. The Market Planner ensures that the agreed business setups are followed, updated and improved to secure the highest level of product availability for IKEA's customers with the lowest total Supply Chain cost. Market Planner works in close co-operation with Market Developer and Market Operator as well as with our Purchasing teams and the Buyers in Supply.
About the assignment
- Responsible to collect and analyze forecasts from Buyers within the respective business area.
- Actively communicate with Buyers - handling forecast & deviations.
- Plan and execute the HFS (Home Furnishing Supplier) need with internal stakeholders (mainly Demand Planner and Need Planner).
- Actively support Market Developer and continuously improve our offer.
- Support start-up process of new articles as well as plan phase out process (scrap, UTG).
- Contribute to business development activities with HFS.
Qualification
To be able to succeed in the role you should have relevant supply and demand competence, but your personality and mindset is at least as important as your previous experience.
We believe you are enthusiastic, driven, structured and determined and act as a role model for the IKEA values. You are self-going and dare to take decisions. You have excellent communication skills and the ability to build trustful relationships. You will network with people both internally and externally.
We believe that you also are great at:
- Working in a team
- Having strong analytic skills and systems skills (quick learner and precise in systems)
- Structuring and organizing your daily work, but as well flexible when there is a need to meet demands of our Buyers.
- Good speaking, reading and writing skills in English.
- Capability to deal with multiple tasks under time pressure.
- Ability to act pro-actively and be able to find new solutions.
Furthermore, we see that you have:
- Economic and Financial knowledge
- Good knowledge of logistics and distribution methods
- Basic market knowledge (competitors, prices, etc.)
