Project Leader – India way forward Supply focus, Supply area South Asia – 2-year Fixed Term Contract

Background

To capture the potential of the growing Indian market and challenging regulatory landscape, we have agreed to come together across the Inter IKEA, core businesses and Ingka Group. The new regulatory legislation in India called Quality Control Orders (QCO), poses challenges to the IKEA value chain. It will impact compliance of our product range and thus our sourcing set up will need to reflect the new requirements. It will take a strong collaboration within our IKEA value chain to unleash the potential of Indian market alongside meeting the reality of regulatory challenges to reach our common goal picture of creating success in India for IKEA.

We are currently looking for a Project Leader with a can-do attitudereporting to Supply Area Manager, South Asia for leading and securing a common work within Supply and Range towards India way forward commitments. This role will be based out of Bangalore, India. Please note that this is a 2-year fixed term contract role.

As a Project Leader, you will together work with various teams to:

• define and implement ways of working and contribute to a close collaboration with key stakeholders and secure communication flows within Supply
• generate clarity, speed and enable a new way of collaborating that can contribute with a future following the set processes and ways of working in a solution-oriented way.
• plan and organize assignment according to the IKEA decision model and applicable delivery methodology.
• manage assignment within scope, time and cost frame, applying relevant project management methods and tools.
• identify, mitigate and manage risks
• be an IKEA ambassador of IKEA values and do Fact-based Business.

• Strong project management skills with knowledge of tools and methodology
• Background of Supply chain essential
• Good at managing stakeholder and building collaborative relationships
• Ability to lead in unknown, test and try and step out of the comfort zone.
• Capability to facilitate, challenge and balance the interests of multiple stakeholders and creating a common view, leading with communication.
• Strategic, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities to make meaningful business insights, define risks and recommendations with fact-based approach, both in day-to-day management and in making decisions. Together with ability to “think outside the box”.
• Capability to learn easily and quickly accommodate to different business contexts.
• Capability to motivate, manage change and deliver result by creating involvement, engagement, and sense of urgency in the project team.
• Experience of leading – navigating projects with internal and external stakeholders.

This position will be based in Bangalore, India. Travelling is part of the assignment to collaborate and work with different teams, when needed.

This position is not supported with mobility/relocation package.
