Retail Concept is assigned to protect, expand, and develop the IKEA Concept and the IKEA Brand in existing and new markets. This includes sharing IKEA knowledge and learning across the Franchise System. Additionally, we also work with the development of solutions that will ensure a unique and successful meeting with existing and new IKEA customers.


About the Job  

As a Digital Leader, you'll ensure a consistent and engaging IKEA experience across all digital customer touchpoints. You'll lead the development of frameworks, enablers, and solutions for digital channels, including the IKEA retail web, app, and social media. Your role involves defining and leading new development areas, products or solutions to build a strong and relevant total IKEA Franchise offer across digital Customer Meeting Points (CMP’s). Additionally, you'll lead the development of omnichannel range presentation and enhance the customer experience across all journeys.

In this role, you'll be responsible for stakeholder management and alignment across Inter IKEA to secure the delivery of enablers and prerequisites for a successful implementation of the IKEA Concept in the area of digital range presentation. You'll work closely with various IKEA units to ensure alignment and successful deployment of business developments across the retail system. You'll also define business requirements to safeguard the IKEA Concept and Brand in the context of presenting the offer and home furnishing knowledge in digital CMPs.


About you  

As an ideal candidate you have a deep understanding of omni-channel retail business, range presentation, home furnishing and customer experience and strong knowledge about digital range presentation and merchandising. You possess expert knowledge of retail web, apps, and social commerce channels in a fast-paced retail environment, along with a deep understanding of how digital range presentation drives customer activation and conversion in an omnichannel setting. 

You are motivated by increasing customer value, IKEA Brand value as well as sales and profit for IKEA. You have an entrepreneurial mindset and a “get-things-done” mentality. You are proactive and demonstrate interdependent leadership across organizations' delivering results through others. To be successful in this role, the following knowledge, skills and experiences would be valuable: 

  • Expertise in e-commerce and/or digital channels, with strong knowledge of omnichannel customer journeys and market trends.
  • Proven track record of collaborative leadership, driving business agendas, and achieving results through others.
  • Exceptional leadership skills to secure buy-in, challenge effectively, and deliver measurable business impact.
  • Experience developing digital concepts, products, or solutions that enhance customer value and/or business outcomes.
  • Ability to apply system thinking to complex problems, particularly in omnichannel or retail environments.
  • Skilled at conceptualizing ecosystems aligned with consumer behaviour, business viability, and customer expectations.
  • Proficient in simplifying complex tasks and processes into actionable steps.
  • Strong analytical skills to draw conclusions and act with a holistic, systemic business approach.
  • Effective facilitator, enabling continuous concept development and fostering collaboration across diverse teams and in the network.
  • Adaptable and capable of leading in fast-changing, complex environments, leveraging tech-savvy skills for digital solutions for digital range presentation.

This is a full-time role (40 hours per week) located in Delft, the Netherlands or in Malmö, Sweden.
