Job description
Responsible for correct understanding for and adherence to the goods flow processes within my area of responsibility in the store. I do this by securing goods flow co-workers knowledge are on the level allowing us as a team to reach operational excellence. I am responsible to retain and develop the many talented co-workers by consistent coaching and by working alongside them, to improve their understanding for how to achieve operational excellence. I clarify the contributions from the Sales & Supply team and commercial team. I strive to reach the highest possible product availability, correct quality of the products and neat and clean sales locations at the lowest possible cost.
Your assignment
- Ensure that goods flow co-workers adhere to SOPs and established working methods, finalise the goods flow processes before store opening to maximize availability at the lowest possible costs.
- Ensure efficient completion of the total customer order fulfilment process to meet customers shopping experience expectations, and to handover to service providers as per agreement.
- Enable implementation of team actions, by developing coworkers' competence and confidence by sharing personal expertise and guiding them in the daily operations. I contribute with input and feedback to the store business plan.
- Contribute to cross function collaboration by supporting colleagues in other functions and/or areas of the store, as well as to improve their understanding for how to support logistics.
- Ensure knowledgeable and skilled teams dedicated to guarantee an excellent customer shopping experience through quality of products, inventory routine, merchandising and stock accuracy.
- Supports the Goods Flow Manager to identify, retain and develop the many talents in the goods flow team, so we build future succession.
- Ensure the goods flow team have the right know how and are compliant to the IKEA Code of Conduct, internal IKEA regulations and local legislation relating to health, safety, and security.
- Live the IKEA values and nurture a strong and thriving IKEA culture that inspires colleagues to reach extraordinary achievements in the store and especially in the goods flow team.
- Take responsibility in lowering environmental impact and contribute to achieving long-term profitability in a sustainable way. Optimise the short-term store capacity usage to maximise efficient logistics operations, considering space, equipment and people.
- Through correct execution of the assigned goods flow processes, contribute to the tasks and goals of the IKEA value chain as stated in the Global Supply Chain Operational Handbook, local appendices, and service agreements with transport service providers.

- I know how I can contribute to an efficient goods flow operation, and how by measuring the timing of goods flow tasks will support Volume based Resource Planning.
- I have a flexible approach to my daily tasks and can adapt to unpredictable situations when they arise. I am open to new ideas and changes in ways of working.
