    As a Senior Systems Engineer (Network Automation Architect), you will help build automated and reliable network services for our locations worldwide. You will work with a small team of engineers to design secure and efficient solutions that support our daily operations.     What you'll be doing day to day

    What you'll be doing day by day
    • Develop and maintain network automation for site networks using Python and Ansible/AWX to improve efficiency, scale, and stability
    • Lead end-to-end automation work so our services meet business needs and operational standards
    • Build self-service capabilities that allow co-workers in stores, warehouses, and offices to manage connectivity independently
    • Work closely with internal teams and external partners to simplify delivery and accelerate change
    • Set the direction for advanced automation practices and help colleagues adopt better ways of working
    • Troubleshoot complex issues across the site network landscape and replace manual fixes with automated solutions
    • Contribute to technical roadmaps for global connectivity and help drive common standards across teams


    You ideally have
    • Strong experience in network automation using Ansible and Python
    • Experience with AWX/Red Hat Automation Platform and API-based automation
    • Comfortable working with Linux systems
    • Hands-on experience with Git and version-controlled workflows
    • Practical understanding of CI/CD pipelines and working with containers or Kubernetes
    • Experience with Aruba networks is an added advantage
    • Prior experience in a large retail organization or large-scale network environment is a plus
    • Able to break down complex problems and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
    • Clear and confident communication skills, with experience working across countries and functions
    • Ability to coach and motivate peers and support a collaborative team culture

    Together as a team

    The Connectivity services team is a small but growing group of seven engineers. In this role, you will collaborate across IKEA’s global infrastructure to design, build, and automate network services for stores, warehouses, and offices worldwide. You will play a key role in transforming how connectivity is delivered, making it efficient, scalable, and automated.
    You will work closely with colleagues across Connectivity services and other teams, sharing expertise, tackling challenges, and delivering solutions that have a real impact.
