Who you are

We are looking for a passionate Store Visual Merchandiser/Activity Manager who would like to join and support our team in St.Gallen

• You have an education in visual merchandising or industrial design and experience of working as a visual merchandiser.
• You preferably have proven experience as a VM or ID Manger
• You are able to inspire, motivate and engage people fully to reach set goals, and generate growth and long-term profitability.
• Continually seeking new opportunities to make improvements in the way we work and encouraging your team to do the same.
• Challenging your team and yourself in order to strengthen the IKEA Brand and at the same time exceed the expectations of customers.
• You love to actively seek to simplify working methods, processes and new ways to work.
• You are able to withstand stress and a heavy workload.
• You have good knowledge of software related to presentations and drawing.
• You are fluent in German and English (Level C1)

Your responsibilities

• Motivating, developing and leading your team.
• Contributing to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.
• Providing inspirational home furnishing solutions around a product or combination of products that will inspire, surprise visitors and meet their everyday life needs.
• Making sure the store layout is used correctly to get a good overview of the products and visual impact to facilitate the buying process for our customers.
• Working closely with other store functions such as sales, logistics and different partners in and outside the unit.
• Sharing knowledge while respecting each other's responsibilities, in order to present the IKEA range in the most attractive inspirational way for the customers.
