Company description

IKEA's vision is to create a better everyday life for most people. We do this by offering a wide range of well-designed, functional home products at prices so low that as many people as possible can afford them. We operate in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, and have an ambitious expansion plan to bring a little bit of Sweden to new markets in the region. We are part of the Ikano group of companies and are the only IKEA franchise owned by the Kamprad family, the founders of IKEA.

We also develop, own and manage shopping centers with IKEA as an anchor, and create walkable communities by including housing, office and other types of real estate in our development plans.

We work to make sustainability a natural part of our daily work. We actively participate in our communities, promoting and supporting social initiatives that benefit children, women and the environment.

Job description
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a process to consolidate the need from all selling units and combining into as few orders as possible via one selling channel to significantly reduce the import permit costs. Upon arrival, secure goods are split across selling units based on latest need.
  • Maximize goods availability across all selling channels with a proactive stock balancing process that prevents shortages from occurring.
  • Minimize the stock structure impact of overstock with a process of proactive analysis and balancing of stock to reduce overall stock weeks per unit and reduce unnecessary ordering to goods already existing in the market.
  • Secure optimal sell through of outgoing products with proactive goods allocation among units from initial RTO determination through to final sell through.
  • Together with Retail Flow and Capacity Specialist, support a reduction of safety stock for direct delivery articles that could be ordered only via one channel and distributed on arrival based on individual unit need.
  • Ensure that the competence level of relevant stakeholders is at the right level – by providing necessary trainings and coaching with a specific focus connected to the responsibilities of this role.
  • Provide the timely and accurate follow up on import permit costs, availability gains through stock balancing and stock structure development to clarify the return on investment for this role.

Qualification
  • Know and work according to the SOPs/working methods connected to the logistics processes I am responsible for or contribute to.
  • Proficient in the use of the various systems and tools required for my role.
  • Know how to analyse current business situation, including store capacity and goods flow operations, and can formulate appropriate actions to continually improve the result.
  • Good understanding and actively use all IKEA manuals and relevant learning materials, particularly those related to fulfilment, supply chain and commercial team.
  • Good skills in supporting an efficient and cost-effective commercial performance.
  • Good understanding of the business plan process in the country.
  • I know and understand the eight IKEA Key Values
