Right now we are looking for a Project Manager for a major investment at our factory in Zbaszynek, Poland.


Job description

We are now looking for a Project Manager for our extension in production of Board material based on our on-site created wood waste.

As Project Manager you will lead a major project within IKEA Industry Zbaszynek and report to the Project Steering group/ Project Owner and deliver the result to the receiving organization.

You will lead a local recruited and experienced project team.

 – all within agreed purpose, goals, scope, time, budget and with agreed quality. The project at our furniture factory in Zbaszynek includes the complete scope. Building extension, Board line purchase, installation, start-up, ramp-up and hand over to the local organization.

As Project Manager you are responsible for:

  • Delivering the project within set frames for scope, time, and budget
  • Secure regular project follow-up and report to the steering group
  • Proper handover to the line organization
  • Ensure that lessons learned have been documented
  • Lead, coach and develop a high performing project team that will strongly contribute to    reach project objectives and goals
  • Take lead in working across functions within the site organization, common support functions within IKEA Industry Zbaszynek and across IKEA Supply.
  • Enable all team members to share best practices with and across the organization
  • Take lead in driving an open and sharing climate, being a role model of the IKEA values where our co-workers are informed, engaged and empowered

Qualification

To be successful in the role, you have;

  • Inspiration and leadership in line with IKEA values. An authentic leader with strong self-awareness and ability to lead people situationally.
  • Passion and ability to lead a team
  • Experience, motivation, stretch boundaries and challenge existing norms
  • Passion to develop and engage the relevant competencies on different levels
  • Proven experience to move from knowledge to insights to imagination to action
  • Proven similar cases of Project Management
  • Experience from Board or Furniture production is an advantage
  • Very good command of English  (C1/C2 level)
  • Good command in Polish language (min B2 level)
