    IKEA Services India is one of the Supply Areas for IKEA, which represent South Asia Region comprising of India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh (Supply Area South Asia-SASA).     Purpose of function

    The Supply Area Finance Performance & Operations function secures compliance to internal and external regulations in the operations of all Purchasing & Logistics companies. We do this in several assignments such as Controllership, Transactional Finance, Specialist Finance, Business Finance (Supply Area performance) and Risk & Compliance.

    As Chief Accountant you are responsible for legal (tax & statutory), Inter IKEA and statutory reporting required under local law. You manage the Accounting function including leading the related agenda, setting priorities and oversee the execution of related activities.


    Job description

    Assignment:

    • Responsible for legal (tax & statutory) and Inter IKEA reporting, including transfer pricing and other periodic tax & statutory filing required under local law. When required, represent the company externally.
    • Secure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements by overseeing the statutory accounting, also ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
    • Manage the Accounting function including leading the related agenda, setting priorities and oversee the execution of related activities.
    • Lead processes of journal entries, allocations, provisions, accruals, deferrals, and GL documentation to maintain accurate financial records.
    • Secure fixed asset depreciation, depletion, and amortization, and oversee asset reports to reflect and report on the asset portfolio.
    • Lead the closing process, close sub-ledgers (AP, AR, FA, Inv.), analyze variances, reconcile accounts, perform FX revaluations, reconcile intercompany transactions, and close the general ledger for accurate and timely financial reporting.
    • Ensure that the Chart of Accounts and related data management is consistent with financial reporting.

    Supply Area FP&O specific:

    • Responsible that local applications and processes are adequate, in place, documented and implemented.
    • Responsible for governance and corporate compliance and key controls in legal entity.
    • Continuously work with improvements and actively participate in applicable Finance Performance & Operations Networks and global projects.

    Qualification

    Knowledge:

    • Qualified Chartered Accountant.
    • Minimum 7 years work experience in similar position.
    • Good knowledge of financial processes, general accounting procedures, tax and other legal finance regulations.
    • Knowledge of Inter IKEA Financial Manual and other Inter IKEA regulations.
    • Good knowledge in MS office and knowledge of accounting and reporting systems.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Fluent in local language and English.
