We are on a journey to modernize our studio and better adapt to the context of creating and producing in a global omnichannel landscape and we’re looking for a Studios Development Leader to join IKEA Marketing & Communication.

We aim to explore and utilize the full potential of new technologies within the field of 3D, AI and with development of motion media. As Studios Development Leader you will be part of the Studios Development team and put focus on initiatives and actions that will improve our content deliverables and explore new content formats. In this role you will collaborate across the whole organization and contribute from ideation through large-scale production by securing the development of global content in operations.

We’re looking for an experienced leader with a solid industry background from companies, agencies or production companies as you’ll be expected to challenge current ways of working and take lead in continuous development and innovation of optimal marketing & communication production methods, tools, processes, and solutions.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop, and lead strategic marketing & communication initiatives in Studios Development.
  • Be part of modernizing our content supply chain by improving capabilities, processes and tools needed to secure omnichannel deliverables using technologies like 3D and AI as enablers.
  • Lead and manage project budgets with connected performance indicators to secure ongoing delivery and future priorities within the agreed frames (quality, time, cost).
  • Stay one step ahead when it comes to business needs. 
  • Challenge the usual way of doing things and identify potential improvement areas, so the teams can perform at its best. 
  • Lead by example and be a change driver for stronger and closer collaboration across the IKEA network, by allowing stakeholders to be part of co-creating the future IKEA marketing and communication agenda.

Who you are:

We are looking for someone who enables creative thinking and idea generation in a large-scale production environment. You are comfortable leading in the unknown and in ever-changing conditions. You can develop people and business together. You know how to manage stakeholder relationships, create synergies and collaborations. You also have the passion to spark an idea-driven culture that enables co-workers to explore, grow and reinvent creative production.
 

What you’ll need:

  • A university degree in Marketing and Communications, or equivalent
  • 10+ years of experience in developing and producing global communication for large-scale businesses and brands. Leading both business and people.
  • Relevant Company, Agency or Production company experience in leading positions with a broad industry network.
  • Strong portfolio within the field of communication for all channels and with a deep experience of content production.
  • Experience in developing and implementing global Marketing & Communication initiatives for large businesses and brands.
  • Experience working in a high-volume production environment with tight deadlines.
  • Strategic understanding of retail businesses and omnichannel needs.
  • High knowledge in production methods and production technology.
  • Strong change management skills and value-based leadership.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a bias for action. You love to work fast and make things happen.
  • Knowledge of how customers consume and experience communication and interest in consumer trends and behaviors, knowledge of communication trends, and channel understanding. 
  • An interest in the topics close to the IKEA brand: life at home, design, sustainability.
  • Fluency in English, spoken and written.
