    As a Kitchen Sales Leads Representative, you’ll play a key role in supporting customers throughout their kitchen journey, from initial enquiry through to purchase, while ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience.

    Additional Information:
    • Position type: Permanent, part-time (40, 50 and 60 hours/fortnight)
    • Internal job title: Senior Sales Generalist
    • Work location: based at IKEA Perth with hybrid work arrangements
    • Working hours: availability required between 8:00am to 8:30pm (AWST) weekdays and alternating weekends (both Saturday & Sunday).


    Recruitment Process Overview:
    • Video interview: if shortlisted, you may be invited to complete a short video interview.
    • Panel interview: successful candidates will be invited to a second‑round online interview conducted by two hiring team members.
    • Training: will commence on Monday 17 August, for a period of 4 weeks. After that, you’ll receive your regular roster.

    About this work area

    This role focuses on customer support, lead management, and sales progression within the kitchen range across phone and digital channels. You’ll be the key point of contact for customers with kitchen enquiries, while actively managing and progressing leads through the sales journey.

    Your responsibilities will include:
    • Handling inbound phone and live chat enquiries, providing accurate product guidance.
    • Supporting customers to select suitable products, using your eye for design to recommend cohesive solutions.
    • Managing and progressing kitchen sales leads across Australia.
    • Identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell complementary kitchen items.
    • Creating and managing future follow-ups, pipelines, and touchpoints to drive conversion.
    • Assisting customers with order placement, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Balancing customer needs with commercial outcomes, contributing to team sales targets.
    • Building strong collaboration with the wider kitchen and remote sales team to deliver a consistent customer experience.
    • Developing a strong understanding of the kitchen range and planning process, with opportunities to grow into kitchen design in the future.



    You are customer-focused, organised, and confident engaging with customers across multiple channels. You enjoy balancing service, sales, and coordination in a fast-paced environment. As Kitchen Sales Leads Representative you have:

    • 1–2 years’ experience in customer service within a call centre and/or showroom retail sales environment.
    • Strong phone-based communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
    • A developing eye for design, with an interest in home furnishing and an ability to confidently recommend products that work well together.
    • The ability to multitask effectively, managing phone, chat, and lead systems while maintaining accuracy.
    • A sales-oriented approach, with confidence in identifying opportunities to upsell and add value.
    • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage follow-ups, leads, and competing priorities.
    • A proactive attitude, with motivation to learn and grow within the kitchen and design space.
