    The Remote Customer Meeting Point, an integrated part of the new IKEA Omnichannel retailing system, drives and enables sustainable, extraordinary growth in a new era of remote meeting the customer (Sales & Resolutions). It empowers and drives outcomes to realize a simple, unique, and seamless meeting whenever and wherever our customers want to meet with IKEA coworkers in a remote setting.
    You will be driving and leading remote sales globally in order to maximise sales across all areas of Remote Customer Meeting Point (RCMP) and enable extraordinary and sustainable growth while ensuring an excellent meeting with the customer by driving a customer centric and commercial approach building on the IKEA uniqueness and home furnishing knowledge and lead the Group RCMP Sales team and act as Subject Matter Expert in Remote Sales towards the countries.
    You should have formal qualifications in Sales, Marketing, Business Management or equivalent with a minimum 8 years of experience working within sales and a minimum 5 years of experience in leading and managing leaders within different disciplines in a sales function, including profit/loss responsibility with an experience of working with new technologies e.g. broadcasting, video sales, Augmented Reality and an experience of multi-channel retail customer experience, preferably within home furnishing sector.

    You should have a strong analytical and strategic skills and a solid commercial acumen with an ability to direct efforts to set and achieve longterm business objectives through matrix leadership and a strong interdependent leadership skills with the ability to build trustful relationships. You should also have an ability to communicate verbally, visually and in writing in an inspirational way with IKEA tone of voice and strong prioritisation skills with ability to analyse conseqences and manage risks.

    You should have a good knowledge of IKEAs corporate identity, core values and vision of creating a better everyday life for the many people and a good knowledge of new technology and how to harness this to drive incremental sales or value growth with expert knowledge of digital and remote selling techniques and drivers and thorough knowledge of the contact centre industry and in particular the selling function within globally steered organisations, with broad knowledge of sales mechanisms and the pulse of the market (customers, competition, news) and broad knowledge about the current market environment and expectations from customers today and tomorrow and knowledge of the IKEA product range. You should have a broad knowledge of the end to end buyer journey in the IKEA omnichannel reality and online customer behaviours and a good strategic knowledge of broader Ingka goals with strong understanding of the complexity of IKEA business and the role of remote sales and RCMP, as an integrated part of the business and strong knowledge of change management within a complex business environment.

    You should be motivated by sharing and living the IKEA culture and values and be passionate about understanding the behaviours of the many people, the local Life at Home and current Home Furnishing trends. You should be energised by driving business growth and contributing to overall success of IKEA through collaboration and motivated by increasing customer value and thinking customer first.     Your responsibilities

    Your Responsibilities will include:
    • Accountable for setting the Sales strategy and driving the development of the Remote Sales in order to create the best customer and co-worker experience and ensure business goals are met
    • Contribute to setting and accountable for monitoring Remote Sales KPIs and goals at Group and Country levels in close cooperation with Remote Business Navigation Business Partner and Group Remote Analytics in order to anchore goals
    • Develop the offer and selling approach in a omnichannel way by applying an end to end understanding of the consumer buyer journey across channels, maximising efficiency and effectiveness, in order to secure sales results and profitability
    • Identify new and additional remote sales opportunities in order to increase growth
    • Drive the definition of future needs for Sales user experience and translate these into the different roadmaps, in order to grow market share, and drive commercial and business value
    • Actively follow trends, customer behaviour and expectations and translate into needed improvement initiatives in order to secure world class customer experience
    • Define best practices in Sales management by continually benchmarking against industry standards to validate and ensure world class selling capability
    • Provide expertise, input and actively participate in the Group RCMP Management Team, with a continuous focus on the Sales agenda, in order to drive the best customer and co-worker experience across all areas of the RCMP
    • Contribute with input to the RCMP goal-setting process, in order to secure Sales perspectives are taken into account
    • Lead, coach and develop a team of Sales leaders and specialists, promoting individual growth and mentorship at all levels and securing a high performing team of passionate experts
    • Share insights on pain-points in the buying process with Experience Design as well as Customer, Digital and Customer Fulfilment group functions, in order to secure an excellent end to end omnichannel customer journey
    • Ensure cross fertilizing of best practices and monitor roadmaps, selling approach and ways of working in order to maximise performance of the Remote Sales community across countries.
