Additional Information:
• These roles are Temporary, Full-time, 76hrs/fortnight (until January 2026).
• The internal title for this role is Purchaser.
• The preferred location for the role is Service Office, Tempe NSW however remote work from any IKEA AU location will be considered.

About this work area
As Procurement Specialist your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Execute sourcing projects in the facilities management category, monitoring the supplier market and securing the best sourcing options to develop the business.
• Secure and adhere to the complete end-to-end Global Procurement purchase process across a number of Procurement Categories for IKEA Australia. Experience of knowledge in Procurement for constructions, rebuilds or Facility Management although not essential will be regarded as favourable.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously ensuring all commitments are delivered & conflicting timelines managed effectively to ensure full stakeholder satisfaction with the Procurement process.
• Lead and drive supplier management and performance by influencing, challenging, and collaborating with suppliers to improve ways of working, supplier performance and drive cost consciousness to deliver positive outcomes for the business.
• Proactively monitor market and provide input and recommendations regarding sourcing options, supplier market and market trends to ensure development of the category/sourcing plans.
• Build trusted long-term relationships with suppliers and secure compliance of IWAY and Code of Conduct.
• Collaborate and support internal business partners to meet and achieve favourable outcomes for their procurement needs.
As Procurement Specialist you are:
• Equipped with extensive, broad knowledge and experience in procurement in a large & complex organisation, ideally with experience working with SAP Ariba.
• Equipped with previous Facilities Management experience or construction purchasing experience with the ability to balance complex tasks and multiple priorities whilst ensuring you are delivering to agreed timeframes and costs.
• Committed team focused individual who enjoys working as part of a small engaged team of Procurement professionals where ideas, skills & capabilities are leveraged to deliver outstanding performance.
• Able to demonstrate excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Able to utilise your procurement experience and knowledge to influence and negotiate with stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes for the business.
• Driven to deliver the best products and services for business partners.
