Who you are
We are looking for a competent, result driven Shopkeeper to help us secure our future in IKEA Tampere. This position calls for a person comfortable leading a team and to grow the business. Combining this with your knowledge of the IKEA product range and local market according to the customer needs and dreams in order to inspire them is the key to be successful in this role.

• A proven record of leadership and well considered decision making who excels in a fast-paced retail environment.
• You are able to motivate, develop, inspire and lead your team members on an individual level by setting expectations and leading by example.
• You are able to work seamlessly together with other functions to create an outstanding customer experience for all of our visitors.
• You want to constantly learn new things and develop your skills and competencies within IKEA.
• You are good at prioritizing and organizing work in dynamic work environment by using commercial priorities in order to make the most efficient use of time.
• You have a strong vision and understanding on how to show the range of department in a commercial way
• You understand how to keep department seasonally inspiring to make customers return to the store for inspiration and new products.
• You communicate fluently in English.

Your responsibilities
Your main task is to create an excellent, convenient and successful IKEA Shopping and buying experience in bathroom, textiles and rugs departments in the IKEA store. You do this together with your team of about 10 sales co-workers, other stakeholders and network within IKEA Finland.

• Leading the business with a strong customer focus within the department.
• Ensuring that sales locations in your department are fully stocked, to inspire customers make purchase.
• Acting quickly on commercial opportunities and customer feedback, as well as keeping an active eye on competition, supply and performance analysis.
• Knowing your range and presenting the width and depth commercially to satisfy and inspire visitors.
• Ensure you have the right number of competent co-workers in the right place at the right time.
• You are responsible for developing your team on both team and individual level and organizing planned and mandatory trainings.
• Creating an environment of trust by encouraging open, constructive, honest, two-way feedback with your team and other colleagues while providing an inspiring and motivating direction.

This position is full time 37,5h/week and permanent. We hope that you can start in the position at the beginning of March 2025 at the latest.

In this role your mainly working hours are between 8-21 and including some weekend shifts and main working location is IKEA Tampere store.
