Who you are

IKEA DK is currently seeking a dedicated Student-worker (last yr. B.Sc. or Master level) to join our Finance function and assist in building business steering tools for the organization.

Your qualifications:

• You are currently enrolled in either last year's B.Sc or a master's program in Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics or Engineering, or another related field in an educational institution like CBS, DTU, ITU or similar.
• You have a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with a proven ability to interpret and visualize data to draw feasible conclusions.
• You are experienced in working with statistical software and tools (e.g., SQL, R, Python, SAS) and have an understanding of database management.

Personal characteristics:

• An outgoing personality who is comfortable learning to work across many levels in a global organization.
• Build Power BI reports and analyze data to produce insights.
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring precision in data and results as well as in documenting things.
• Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to evaluate complex information from various sources.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex data insights in a clear and accessible manner.
• A team player with a collaborative mindset, adept at working in multidisciplinary teams to achieve shared goals.

Your responsibilities

What we need is an automated real-time business steering dashboard(s) that establish a common approach to commercial performance and enable all functions to draw the same conclusions and react quickly to business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build automated PowerBI dashboard(s) based on specifications from CFO, and commercial and digital teams.
• Perform statistical analysis on data to identify trends and patterns in business performance.
• Deliver reports detailing performance opportunities and challenges.

About this work area

In this new position, you will join our Business Navigation Team and be part of transforming our business delivering analytics solutions to enable more effective business steering. The role involves building a PowerBI dashboard that provides a holistic view of performance across all levels of the organization as well as in-depth analysis of said performance. This is an opportunity to gain hands on experience activating data in a global organization collaborating with cross functional teams in Denmark and in our global organization.

Other information

The position is based in our headquarters in IKEA Taastrup, and it includes working as hourly paid for up to 15 hours per week, with the option to scale up the time in connection with holidays or study-free periods.
