We dream about creating our future together. Our direction is clear, to become more affordable, accessible, and sustainable for more of the many people. We are now strengthening our position in Korea by opening the first store inside of Seoul city (the 4th store in Greater Seoul). The Seoul Gangdong store is our first store in Seoul city. It is in a mixed-use environment with office towers and a magnificent shopping centre. The scheduled opening is March 2025.
WHO YOU ARE
• Act as a commercial business partner within the IKEA business in the store.
• Forward thinking mindset with a passion for food, always open to act on opportunities and initiating changes if beneficial.
• Experience in the fast-paced food business; working with Standard Operating Procedures, Guidelines and Food safety/Hygiene audits are not new to you.
• 3 years of experience in a leading position within the food retail environment.

• A great team player who is not acting on his own, but involves his colleagues and team to improve the business continuously.
Your responsibilities
• Responsible for quality standards of customer experience in the customer and co-worker restaurant, implementing the global and national compliance standards, managing the food supply chain and range competence in the store.
• Secures the appropriate processes and procedures to secure quality of food, food safety, excellence in operations, introduce vitality and to reduce waste.
• Ensures the customer experience and exceeding customer expectations.
• Lead and coach the kitchen production team in optimizing and develop the IKEA Retail Food business, considering the IKEA brand position, strategies, legal compliance and people and planet positive in all IKEA touchpoints as well as promoting IKEA as a great place to work.
• Secures that the retail foundations are in place to optimise quality perception.
• Ensure that the kitchen is in shape as new, that equipment is maintained and in full working order.
• Ensure high quality standards of customer experience in the customer and co-worker restaurant and optimised levels of commerciality are achieved by cooperating effectively with the Commercial Restaurant Manager.
• Contribute to the creation and implementation of the unit business plan and the IKEA Retail Food business plan and other action plans.
• Secure a lean, diverse and high performing team through building IKEA Food and IKEA competence and leadership and empowering co-workers to act on their own initiative.
• Responsible for the implementation of the global and national people and sustainability strategies.
