    Job description


    Overview Of The Role:
    The Graphic Designer is responsible for securing that graphic standards and communication materials are implemented in the IKEA store in accordance with IKEA manuals, thereby enhancing brand identity and customer experience. The role involves planning and executing graphic solutions that communicate IKEA product features, supporting sales targets, and maintaining consistent visual standards across all store areas. The designer works closely with sales and logistics teams to align graphic applications with commercial activities, ensuring the store's image is optimally maintained and competitive within the local market.


    What You Will Do:

    • Install IKEA Trade Name & Word mark & ensure they are properly projected and strictly observed as per the IKEA Trademark Manual and Company Policy document.
    • Plan and execute a high level of graphic solutions by communicating IKEA product features and solutions in all in-store areas.
    • Perform daily and weekly checks on implementation and application of graphic displays to ensure consistent standards and translations are correct as per IKEA visual identity and pricing.
    • Work with Sales and in-store logistics by following the work brief process in planning and implementing graphic solutions to support the store's set sales targets and activity calendar.
    • Implement graphic communication (notice board, usage of IKEA furnishing in offices, signage & posters) to sales support areas, ensuring they align with IKEA standards.
    • Plan and execute changes to graphic solutions as directed by GD Leader to align with the store’s commercial calendar and activities.
    • Develop a deep understanding of Graphic Com-In related to IKEA manuals, ideas, and guidelines for continuous skill and competence improvement.
    • Obtain knowledge of competitors' activities, the local market, and customers to develop awareness and improve IKEA's customer perception in the store.


    Required Skills To Be Successful:

    • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
    • Ability to adhere to IKEA's graphic standards and identity.
    • Strong communication skills in English, Arabic preferred.
    • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.


    What Qualifies You For The Role:

    • Degree or diploma in graphic design.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the graphic design field.
    • Proficiency in using sign making equipment and experience with MacIntosh graphic software.
    • Strong skills in graphic design programs including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
    • Excellent command of the English language; command of Arabic is preferred.
    • Attention to detail and very good communication skills.
    • Behavioral proficiencies include customer focus, individual accountability, continuous improvement approach, personal leadership, and being a team player.
