Additional information:
• This role is Permanent Part-time, 60hrs/fortnight
• As we operate 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day, evening, and overnight shifts (24-hours). You also have the availability to work weekends.
• To be successful you must hold or be capable of holding an NSW Security licence Class 1ACE.
• As part of the recruitment process this role requires a pre-employment check for the final candidate.

About this work area

As Safety & Security Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Be the first point of contact, managing visitors, contractors, vehicles and co-worker access to and from the Distribution Centre.
• Provide administrative support for safety and security tasks, including audits, incident reporting, database management, and filing.
• Monitoring and reviewing CCTV, conducting investigations, responding quickly and efficiently to alarms, and initiating emergency response procedures where required.
• Assist in ensuring the Distribution Centre is compliant with all IKEA and local rules, guidelines, and legislative requirements, in order to protect our assets and the IKEA brand.
• Assist with the response and management of emergency situations and safety incidents.
• Foster a culture of risk awareness and maintain high standards of safety and security across the store.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure that health, safety, and security standards are met across all departments.



As a Safety & Security Co-worker you are or have:
• Current valid NSW Security licence Class 1ACE and First Aid & CPR certifications, or the willingness and ability to obtain them.
• A passion for creating a safe and secure working environment and a commitment to leading by example.
• Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to stay calm and deliver clear instructions during emergencies.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and handle ad hoc requests while maintaining daily responsibilities.
• Experience with regular use of computers, IT systems, completing administrative and reporting tasks while adhering to deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
