We are now looking for a Systems Engineer to join us in the Service area of Application Provisioning and help us craft seamless experiences that'll make our customers and co-workers feel right at home. Within Application Provisioning, we are working with how our many co-workers, partners and consultants should consume and engage with software and applications through application delivery platforms with a focus on Citrix & Nutanix technology portfolio.

Key previous experience and skills:
• Formal qualifications in computer science or any engineering equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a software or infrastructure engineer or equivalent working in agile and iterative teams
• Excellent knowledge of Nutanix, Citrix virtual apps and desktop or Citrix Netscaler and other relevant technical platforms within application provisioning
• Good written and verbal English communication skills
• Preferred: Knowledge of IKEA Brand, culture, values and way of working
Together as a team
We are right now developing a new operating model in how we, in close collaboration with our service integrator, will deliver technically feasible products and services for our co-workers. This requires a somewhat new approach and expectations of being a systems engineer within Digital Workplace.
As an engineer within Digital Workplace you will:
Internally broker the engineering and technical IKEA and vendor engagements, manage IKEA systems designs/ architecture, assure IKEA compliance, and secure solutions are co-designed interdependently with connected IKEA areas to ensure that our product engineering is delivered holistically and safely into IKEA.
Secure and de-risk complex IKEA in-house legacy (e.g. ICC coupled applications), in-progress modernizations (e.g. MHS modernization) and other ecosystem challenges (e.g. split technology responsibilities).
Lead the innovation technology agenda internally and with vendors leverage the system integrator where required and continuously explore and evaluate new technologies to boost innovation and productivity for optimization/modifications to the current design and development productivity.
Lead technically across co-dependent technology areas, leveraging the System Integrator's abilities to help us deliver robust and innovative technical designs, improvements, and enhancements that make sense in the IKEA technical ecosystem.
Manage technical feasibility and business through engineering technical expertise to validate the ideas, concepts and solutions we introduce to ensure we enhance the IKEA ecosystem and remain cost-conscious doing this.
Work closely with the team to develop and deliver high-quality digital services and ensure our systems are efficient.
Drive modern software engineering principles, utilization of proper tools and increase of automation to enable the specified business outcomes and create a strong digital foundation for IKEAs Digital products and business.
Other responsibilities:
• Govern and manage that products and services are delivered through automation and self-service capabilities for efficiency, availability and usability.
• Govern and manage that products and services are compliant towards legislations, policies or other requirements in order to stay compliant.
• Govern and manage that products and services are built in a cost-effective and robust way with respect to architectural conditions, minimizing unintended errors and downtime, and ensuring a resilient technological foundation
• Govern and manage that product/service designs and technical roadmaps are aligned by key stakeholders within Ingka and Inter-IKEA Systems with interdependencies towards Group Digital in order to ensure aligned outcomes
• Apply and promote good engineering practices within an agile/iterative development approach in order to improve time to market and fulfil business needs.
• Provide SME knowledge to internal consumers and stakeholders within Group Digital and service integrators when needed.

This role is based in Helsingborg or Malmö, Sweden and you will report to the Service Manager, Application Provisioning, Digital Workplace.
In this recruitment there is no relocation support provided by IKEA, hence we're looking for people already living or within commuting distance of the mentioned location of the role.
