【Purpose of this Job】
Secure that the country HR functions are able to focus on their core objectives, delivering to the People Strategy and business goals by providing and continuously improving People Administrative support in line with the Service Level Agreements.

【Report line】
This position reports to the Country HR Manager.

【Required】
・Currently resident in Japan with working rights
・Experience in implementing and following up on rules and practices that ensure accountability, compliance, fairness, and transparency
・Experience in creating and managing change initiatives, as well as stakeholder management
・Ability to proactively respond to changing business conditions and align with long-term business direction
・Experience in analysing data for business insights and decision making
・Knowledge of different leadership styles and their application

【Language Requirements】
・Business level English, with a focus on effective communication rather than perfection
・Ability to read and comprehend employment related laws in Japanese

【Preferred】
・Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience
・Experience in project management
・Experience using digital tools to optimize efficiency
・Experience in a global matrix organization
・Understanding of HR trends and innovations to enhance organisational performanc

【Your Responsibilities】
• Responsible for execution of all HR administrative tasks in line with Service Level agreements
• Responsible for supporting standardisation and alignment within People Administration including collaboration with counterparts in other countries
• Works in close collaboration with Process Improvement Specialist to identify process improvement areas and opportunities for migration of tasks to Shared Services
• Leads and develops a focused team of Administrators and ensures that the team works effectively and collaboratively to ensure agreed service levels and quality
• Contributes to a high standard of excellence within People Administration including identifying and acting on opportunities for continuous improvement
• Leverages digital solutions and tools for efficient administration
• Ensure the relevance of People administrative processes in a constantly evolving global retail landscape

About this work area

【Where you work/Access】
IKEA Japan Service Office (Head Office) is located on the 5th floor of IKEA Tokyo-Bay. We work in a hybrid style, with the option to work in the office 2-3 times a week and from home for the rest of the time. The office is a bright and open collaboration space, of course furnished with IKEA home furnishings!

【Working Hours】
Flexible working hours (based on a flextime labor-management agreement)

【Employment Status】
- Full-time regular employee- 40 hours per week contract
- Probation period: 6 months
- Start date is the first day of every month (consult with us about your start date)
- Retirement age: 65 years old

【Benefits】

- Transportation expense (up to 1,530 yen/day) *Parking spaces available for car commutation
