What you'll be doing day to day
In this role, you will lead food compliance and safety to ensure safe, compliant food for customers and coworkers. You will strengthen our food safety standards and address key gaps.

- Develop Plans: Create and implement risk-based food safety compliance plans.
- Monitor Needs: Identify and address market-specific food safety requirements.
- Conduct Audits: Plan, execute, and follow up on food safety audits.
- Ensure Quality: Lead the process for handling non-compliance issues.
- Communicate: Ensure clear food safety communication to customers.
- Maintain Standards: Ensure equipment and facilities meet safety standards.
- Collaborate: Work with external partners and internal teams.
- Share Knowledge: Facilitate knowledge transfer within the team.
- Promote Culture: Foster an open, sharing climate and drive sustainability.

What You’ll Need:
- Formal Qualifications: A background in food safety or an equivalent field.
- Extensive Experience: At least 10 years in food safety, quality, operations, standards, procedures, and compliance, with a proven track record of delivering results.
- Expert Knowledge: Deep understanding of HACCP, food safety standards, and procedures.
- Leadership Skills: Minimum of 5 years leading and influencing teams.
- Retail Experience: Preferably in the food sector.
- Project Management: Strong knowledge of project and change management methods, tools, and stakeholder management.
- Operational Insight: Broad understanding of operational plans, goals, and KPI follow-up.
- Consumer Behavior: Insight into how consumers act, feel, and behave in a retail environment, applying these insights to enhance the shopping experience.
- Customer Lifecycle: Comprehensive knowledge of the customer lifecycle and key food safety pain points across all channels.

- The salary indication of this role gross a year including holiday and 13th month is between €58.849,- and €66.665,- depending on experience and based on 38 hours contract.

- A 13th month and 8% holiday pay. These will be paid out in December and May as standard, but you can also choose to receive them monthly.

A collective bonus scheme. This is determined annually and amounts to a maximum of 150% of your gross monthly salary.

- Travel expenses for public transport are reimbursed 100%. Do you live within a radius of 5 to 20 km from the IKEA store? Then you can also opt for a lease bicycle. Are you traveling by car? Then you will receive a travel allowance up to a maximum of 243 euros per month.

- 15% employee discount at all IKEA stores in the Netherlands.

- Various arrangements that suit your personal situation. Think of transition leave and equal (100% paid) birth leave regardless of the composition of your family. You may also exchange the public holidays applicable in the Netherlands with non-Christian holidays. And every store has a quiet/prayer room.
