Who you are

• Have 8+ years of increasingly responsible accounting and/or auditing experience in retail industry.
• Bachelor degree in Accounting/ Finance / Economics or related field
• Applied knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial reporting and tax regulations
• Experience in prepare, analyse and report complex accounting data
• Communicate clearly and confidently in English
• Proficient in MS Office skills
• Working experience in Fixed Asset Management is preferred
• Preferred to have professionally qualified accountant or local equivalent(KICPA or AICPA)

Your responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile theen general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. 
• Ensure accurate categorization and classification of fixed assets based on their nature and use. 
• Identify and evaluate the current value of assets for impairment recognition on a regular basis. 
• Prepare bi-monthly, half-yearly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP or IFRS(Ingka) standards. 
• Coordinate and participate in month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing closing entries and reconciliations. 
• Perform regular reconciliations of GL accounts, bank accounts, intercompany transactions, and other financial records in a timely manner. 
• Assist in internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and supporting schedules as needed.  
• Work closely with other departments, including finance, tax, treasury, and operations, to support business initiatives and resolve accounting issues.
• Assist in ad hoc projects, initiatives, and analyses as assigned by management to support business objectives and strategic initiatives.
• Adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment to meet evolving business needs.
