Company description

IKEA Components, part of Inter IKEA Group, holds a unique position within the IKEA value chain. We supply the IKEA business with customer-friendly component solutions for better products – and better homes. Maybe you’re familiar with the wedge dowel that supports our furniture assembly? Or the fitting bags in the cardboard packages? Or the signature IKEA signs on our store buildings? That’s us!

Our assignment includes a responsibility to develop, source and supply selected components and materials to IKEA suppliers, as well as retail equipment to IKEA franchisees. IKEA Components also provides After Sales service of components to the end customers to keep our products lasting as long as possible. Our business is global, employing approximately 1,400 co-workers, primarily based in Sweden, Slovakia and China.

Our responsibility is to find, develop and secure a supplier base that will enable IKEA to be the leader in Life at Home. Category Wood is responsible for working with around 200 suppliers, to buy raw wood and various wooden materials for furniture production in the IKEA supply chain.

We are looking for people who have passion for developing our business together with our partners. Do you enjoy entrepreneurial thinking and have the drive and energy to identify business opportunities, eliminate unnecessary costs, and reduce purchasing prices through fact-based analysis and negotiations? Are you committed to delivering better products at lower prices for the many people and you make it happen by working together and engaging various stakeholders?
