Job description
A day in your life with us:
- To ensure efficient & accurate IKEA accounts.
- Ensure a smooth operation for administering the Company's fiscal affairs in accordance with applicable local guidelines.
- The department manages the annual audit, annual budget and advises management on all aspects of financial planning.
- To support the Finance Manager by taking full responsibility of daily accounts, by maintaining the accounts of daily transactions.
Key Assignments :
- Responsible for managing the entire accounting process in IKEA Amman Store while ensuring that all data entries pertaining to accounting transactions are completed in time and furnish required reports to the management as per laid down deadlines.
- Responsible for reporting on department budgets and ensuring that adverse variances are reported to the concerned departments for appropriate action.
- Responsible for preparation and finalization of monthly management accounts and reporting to the higher management.
- Liaising with the Tax Authorities, namely Income Tax and Sales Tax Departments for all related matters. Will also be responsible to ensure that all statutory requirements like filing of periodical tax returns, compliance with tax deduction (withholding tax), sales tax filing matters requirements are completed without any delay or default that may result in fines or penalties. Shall liaise with Logistics Manager in respect of customs duty related matters.
- Coordinating with statutory auditors and ensure that annual audited accounts duly approved by the Board of Directors along with audit report is submitted to the concerned Government authorities in time.
- Responsible for conduct of internal audit of various operational activities in the Store.
- Liaising with the bankers to arrange for short-term and long-term funding requirements for the store as well deal with foreign exchange requirements. The incumbent will also be responsible for cash management function in order to ensure that cash balances are utilized in most optimal manner, in coordination with the Service Operations Manager.
- Responsible for managing all other matters relating to finance and accounts function in the IKEA Amman Store
Qualification
- BSc degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
- Good knowledge of accounting software
- Proficiency in English language is a must.
- Computer literacy. Customer Oriented.
- Ability to work with tight deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts, conditional formatting, etc.)
- Attention to detail
- Complaint Management.
- Job Knowledge
