Job Description

The accounting department at IKEA of Sweden support several Inter IKEA companies both within and outside Sweden with Accounting services. You will be a part of the team that provide support related to the Accounts Payable (AP) process and responsible for that all invoices are processed in a proper and timely way, according to global or local guidelines and routines. 

As Accounts Payable Specialist you work close to the other team members and your main tasks and responsibilities are to give timely and clear support related to the Accounts Payable (AP) process. Ensure that all invoices are coded with correct accounting string (all elements), VAT code and processed according to PoA for the Inter IKEA Company; maintain the supplier master data and users of the AP invoice handling system; participate in monthly closings of the AP system and the accruals of invoices; provide support connected to the accounts payable processes to co-workers within Inter IKEA companies and to external suppliers.

You will also be responsible to create and load supplier payment proposals in a timely and accurate way; actively participate in the work to increase efficiency and quality; participate in creating/maintaining manuals, guides, routines to help others in the team and to improve the processes.

To be successful in this role you need to be curious and open to new ways of working and strive to improve processes. Accurate, analytical, and have an attention to details. Service minded and communicated in a clear and simple way.  We want you to be structured and have the ability to prioritize to complete your tasks efficiently. 

We believe that you have working experience within Swedish Accounting- and VAT legislation connected with the Account Payables processes. You need to have good knowledge in Swedish and English, both writing and speech. Knowledge in Microsoft office, Excel, and experience from working with financial systems is also needed for the role.

You can have a bachelor’s degree in business administration or YH-education in Accounting, but equivalent working experience is also fine.
