Your responsibilities
In the IKEA store we offer diverse work tasks in various sales, customer service and restaurant departments, as well as in logistics.
In each department you work in a responsible role when meeting our customers in different situations and you also work to strengthen the store’s overall sales for your part.
Customer is always your priority number one and with your actions you secure, that our customer service and customer satisfaction is on top level. Your goal is to create a positive shopping experience for customers so that they return to shopping with us again.


SALES:
As a co-worker in sales, you work with various tasks either in upstairs Showroom, downstairs Market Hall or in self-service warehouse
• You actively approach and greet customers and find out their needs by asking questions. You recommend and plan the home furnishing solutions and services that best suit their needs
• You prepare the sales locations and make sure the products are always available. You maintain your department to always keep it neat and attractive to our customers

IKEA FOOD:
In the IKEA Food team, you will work in either the Customer restaurant's kitchen, seating area and/or dishwashing, or Bistro & Swedish Food Market.
• In the Customer restaurant kitchen, we prepare delicious dishes and other food products for our customers. In the seating area, we are happy to serve customers at the checkout and make sure they have a clean table to eat at. Dishwashing ensures that clean cutlery and dining utensils are always available to our customers. Our team also makes sure our own staff gets a tasty breakfast and lunch every day
• At the Swedish Food Market, customers can buy all IKEA classics and seasonal delicacies at home. The last stop for many customers in our store is Bistro, where we offer customers a fast and smooth shopping experience as well as delicious hot dogs.
In addition to great customer service, we make sure that IKEA Food departments are always clean and that our products are of high quality and attractively displayed.

CUSTOMER SERVICE:
In customer service, you will work on a variety of tasks at the exchange and return point, at the cash line, in the children's play area or in the trolley service, providing top-quality customer service in every customer encounter.
• In the exchange and return point, you will help customers with, for example, exchanging and returning products. In addition, the department will handle product-related complaints and spare parts issues and also guide customers on questions related to the loyalty program and financing. You will also need experience in cashier work in the department.
• In the children's play area, you will ensure that children have fun, and it is safe for them to spend time with us, so that parents can have a peaceful shopping moment in our store. In this job, you will be helped by experience, for example, in guiding or coaching a hobby group.
• As a cashier, you will ensure a smooth payment transaction and a positive shopping experience at the cash line. In this job, you need a cheerful attitude and accuracy. You have a genuine desire to serve customers. As a cashier, you will also work shifts in the store entrance, cheerfully greeting and guiding all our customers.
• In the trolley service, you will ensure that shopping carts and other shopping aids are where our customers need them. You will help our customers by cheerfully greeting them and, for example, offering loading assistance. The work is physical and requires good fitness.

LOGISTICS:
In logistics jobs, you will play a key role in creating a positive customer experience by ensuring the best possible product availability for our customers. You will work in a variety of logistics tasks and gain logistics expertise.

• You will be responsible for handling products (unloading and storing, replenishing sales locations, picking, packing and shipping customer orders)
• The work shifts in the logistics teams are between 04:00 and 22:00, so please remember to make sure that you can travel to work shifts during the above-mentioned times.
- Warehouse working hours are 4:00 - 10:00, tasks include replenishing sales locations with a forklift and storing loads
- Replenishment team working hours are 5:00 - 10:00, tasks include shelving and replenishing sales locations with pallet trucks
- Picking team working hours are between 8:00 and 22:00. The picking team takes care of picking, packing and shipping customer orders.
• Forklift driving skills are considered an advantage for warehouse work, but not essential. We train in safe forklift operation.


Working in IKEA store is very much about co-operation with other departments and functions in the store. Working days can also be quite hectic, but it is always rewarding to work with great colleagues!
Our stores are open 7 days a week, therefore we also work from morning to evening shifts including weekends.
To work with us you must be at least 16 years old, in some tasks/roles at least 18 years old (logistics, children´s play area).

We offer fixed-term & permanent contracts for different contract hours (12-25h/week), and we hope that you will enjoy yourself with us throughout the summer and even longer! Contracts are available in Logistics and IKEA Food starting already in January/February.


SALARY
The basic salary for the position is in accordance with the collective agreement for the retail sector, which is 11.01-14.83 e/h depending on the years of experience, in addition to which we pay bonuses according to the TES according to the actual hours worked. The salary is affected by previous experience in similar positions and training related to the field.

An example of your possible salary for the IKEA Sales co-worker position:
You have worked as a salesperson in the retail sector for 6 months and you do not have training related to the field, therefore your basic salary is an intern's salary of 11.01 e/h.

An example of your possible salary for the IKEA Restaurant co-worker position:
You have completed a basic qualification in the restaurant and catering sector and have worked in a restaurant sector position for 4 months, therefore your salary is a basic salary corresponding to the 3rd year salary grade of 13.44 e/h.
