IKEA Southampton are looking to welcome Warehouse Assistants to join our hard-working fulfilment team.

This is an early-morning role, with shift start times at 04:00am or 06:00am, until 10:00am or 12:00pm.

In this role, you’ll be essential in picking and preparing orders, managing deliveries, and ensuring our fulfilment unit runs smoothly. If you excel in a bustling environment and have a sharp eye for detail, we’d be thrilled to welcome you aboard.

WHAT WE OFFER
• Start Date of employment will be 25 and 26 January 2025.
• Competitive hourly rate of £12.60 per hour, with nightshift allowance of £2.25 applied between the hours of 22:00pm to 06:00am.
• 24 hours per week, working 4 days per week, including 3 out of 4 weekends. Earliest start times will be 04:00am, and latest finishing times 12:00pm.

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE
• While previous warehouse experience is preferred, it is not essential. The key requirement is a strong motivation to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize workload efficiently, with a keen attention to detail.
• Proven experience in using technical equipment to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Self-reliant and motivated, capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
• Picking all our Click & Collect orders throughout the store and handing them out to our customers.
• Ensuring products are available to customers by ensuring tasks in your area are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Operating and work around heavy machinery, such as forklift trucks, counterbalance, and pump trucks, to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the warehouse.
• Adhering to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure environment for both customers and co-workers.
• Using of pump truck and manual handling.
• Replenishment of the store, making sure all the shelves are full and ready for our customers.
