We are looking to welcome part-time Sales Assistants to join our amazing Showroom team.

In the showroom your main focus will be the customer, you will engage with IKEA customers to sell them Furnishing Solutions that meet their wants, needs and price range. You will be delivering a personalised service to every customer showing that IKEA has something for everyone.

In the IKEA world, we call this position a Sales Co-Worker.

Expected Starting Date: July 2024.

• £12.00 basic hourly rate.
• IKEA is a Living Wage Foundation Employer.

Various Part Time - 16-24 hours available hours working 4/5 days out of 7, including late evenings and 3 out of 4 weekends.
Various Full Time - 32-39 hours available hours working 5 days out of 7 including a late evening and alternate weekends.

We operate 7 days a week to meet the shopping needs of our customers. This role will require availability to work during the day, late evenings, and full weekends.

Please be aware that the IKEA Edinburgh Store is located outside of the city and links by public transport may be infrequent. If you will be using public transport to get to the store we ask you to consider your transport route before you apply.

• You provide an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.
• You actively approach customers to identify their needs and advise them on the best solutions for their life at home through home furnishings.
• You are always passionate about the range and home furnishings, curious to learn the stories behind the products and their design.
• You support maximising sales by being proud of your areas of responsibility, ensuring the customer meets an area that is clean, well presented and easy to shop.
• You are competent with IT, Microsoft office, using the internet and relevant programmes to support selling to the customer.
• You will have a combination of administrative work, meeting the customer and preparing for next days delivery.
• This is a physically demanding role which involves manual handling and walking throughout the store.
