Who you are
As a Store Design Specialist - Expansion at IKEA, you will be instrumental in shaping our stores’ architecture and design to enhance customer experiences. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including retail, commercial, and construction, to meet IKEA’s standards in store aesthetics, functionality, and cost-efficiency
Your responsibilities
Lead Store Design Projects: Guide and coordinate the entire design process for IKEA stores, ensuring that each project is in line with IKEA’s customer meeting point (CMP) standards.

Pre-Project Support: Contribute to potential site selections and configurations by preparing sketches, rough drawings, and design evaluations.

Design Compliance: Work closely with various teams (retail, safety, facilities, etc.) to ensure designs meet all technical, zoning, and local building code requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a liaison between CMP design, retail architects, design leaders, and commercial planners for smooth project handovers.

Stakeholder Engagement: Represent store design needs in forums, and present designs for feedback and approval at key stages.

SISAN Contributions: Provide design solutions for the Store In Shape As New (SISAN) projects, impacting architectural aspects of existing stores
