  • IKEA Exeter are looking to welcome Weekend Only Customer Relations Assistants to join our delightful and friendly team.

    If you are looking for a role where you get to build your customer service skills and help co-create the wonderful everyday with our many in-store guests, we would be happy to hear from you.

    We have 12-hour contracts working on our Check-Outs and Customer Relations / Returns areas, where you would provide after sales support.

    • The Start Date of employment will be 5th of September 2026.
    • Competitive hourly rate of £13.45 per hour.
    • 12 Hours working 2 days per week Available to work two 6-hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as ad hoc shifts through the week (Monday to Friday) is required.

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

    • You prefer to take initiative, are adept at juggling several responsibilities at once, and value teamwork while also being able to complete assignments without direct supervision.
    • You have a customer first mindset, where you make the customer feel valued and supported in everything you do.
    • You are computer literate and able to work with technology.
    • The confidence to maintain composure and patience when dealing with a variety of customers and complex complaints.


    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

    • You aim to create a positive experience for our customers so that they will want to return and shop with us again over time.
    • You work together with colleagues in other functions to improve the customer experience.
    • Meeting and greeting our customers, assisting customers at the check-outs and returns desk.
    • Build loyalty by listening to our customers and using your knowledge of the IKEA product range to offer informed solutions.
