IKEA Exeter are looking to welcome Food and Beverage Assistants to join our close-knit, friendly team.
This is your opportunity to serve a taste of Sweden (such as our delicious meatballs) to our many customers. If you believe in service with a smile, and want to co-create the magical every day for our in-store guests, we want to hear from you!
• The Start Date of employment will be 14 and 15 of December 2024.
• Hourly rate of £12.00 per hour.
• We can discuss flexibility to match your life and our business needs during the interview.
Our vacancies include:
• 20-hours a week, working in our Customer Restaurant, with the ability to work a variety of shifts across the week (morning to evening), as well as 3 in 4 weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
• 12-hour a week, working in our Kitchen Food Production or Swedish Bistro areas, with the ability to work two evenings (16:00pm - 21:00pm) during the week, and 3 in 4 weekends (Saturday and Sunday).

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
• Prior food and customer service experience is a plus, but not required if you are hands-on and willing to roll up your sleeves.
• Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced environment.
• Be self-reliant and motivated, ready to work independently and as part of our team.
• Ability to remain organised and detail-orientated, even when things get busy.
• Due to health and safety regulations all applicants must be over the age of 18.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
CUSTOMER RESTAURANT AND BISTRO
• The role will involve a variety of tasks where you will be required to serve food, take payment at tills, clean and clear the restaurant.
• Customer focused, by working together to create the best customer experience. Listen, act, and exceed their expectations every day.
• With our evening shifts, working to clean and close down the Restaurant areas at the end of the night.
FOOD PRODUCTION
• Working behind the scenes to prepare hot and cold food, and serving our many guests our delicious meals.
• Working in a sustainable and cost-effective way (for instance, through portion control, wastage, etc.).
• Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure environment for both our customers and co-workers.
