About the Job
The product engineering area is working to secure an attractive, consistent and efficient way of working for product development and our suppliers. To create a foundation for IKEAs product information to be used in the full value chain.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer specializing in PTC Windchill and/or PTC Thingworx to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our software development group, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining solutions within the Windchill ecosystem. Your expertise will contribute to the success of our projects and ensure the optimal performance of our product lifecycle management (PLM) systems.
Qualification
As a PLM Software Engineer, you have:
- Expertise in leading system design and development in the Windchill ecosystem.
- Proficiency with core Windchill concepts (teams, templates, ACL, preferences, etc.).
- Extensive experience with Windchill PDMLink, Workflow customization, and Lifecycle management.
- Solid skills in JAVA, JSP, JavaScript, XML, and SQL.
- Knowledge in change, CAD, part, document, vendor, and license management.
- Understanding of ProjectLink, PartsLink, and both client-server customization.
- Hands-on with DataUtility, Validators, Business Rules, and custom actions.
- Knowledge of REST and OData API integration.
- Experience with QML and Windchill reports.
- Proficiency in ThingWorx platform (modeling, mashups, security, etc.).
- Strong collaboration skills and technical documentation experience.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and balance business needs with technical solutions.
- Background in software engineering and PLM, with cloud technologies and IT architecture knowledge.

This is a permanent role based in Malmö, Sweden. The PLM Software engineer role is crucial to secure efficient way of working for product development and our suppliers and we believe that your presence with the team and working most of the time in the workplace is important.
